International relations

UVSQ implements an actively open policy. The quality of its environment and the standard of the welcome offered to students enhance its international profile .

UVSQ implements an internationally-oriented policy, not only with universities and research teams in numerous countries around the world, but also in certain disciplines, with multinational industrial groups.
UVSQ regularly plays host, for various periods of time, to foreign teachers, researchers and professionals, who participate in training courses, give lectures and chair seminars, therefore sharing their knowledge with the rest of the university community.

UVSQ welcomes students from the five continents of the world, some on the basis of reciprocal exchange agreements. These young foreigners now represent more than 15% of students at our university. They come from a 100 or so countries around the globe.

UVSQ offers its own students the opportunity to carry out some of their studies in one of its partner universities if they so wish. Courses taken abroad are fully incorporated in terms of awarding a French qualification.
UVSQ students wishing to study abroad can benefit from financial aids: ERASMUS grants for Europe, Ile de France regional council grants for all countries. The university has also decided to provide some of its own funds to support the internationalisation of academic tracks.

The objective of the International relations Department is to drive and support the implementation of international projects, but also to develop cooperative initiatives in order to increase the international mobility of students. For years to come, its aim is to export a certain number of its degrees , as is already the case for some of them, to increase the number of jointly-supervised theses as well as to reinforce and extend its international presence: in Europe - particularly Central and Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean basin -, in Asia - more specifically China and Vietnam - and in South America. A particular emphasis will be placed on English-speaking countries, in order to increase the number of exchange opportunities for our students.
